EA Sports UFC Review

Never have I been interested in fighting games; I haven't been able to understand the controls so that I could become addicted to playing those type of games. I saw no replay value in playing those sorts of games because I was frustrated that I didn't know the controls. That is until I played the demo of UFC from EA Sports, where I was immediately prompted with an instructional tutorial that showed me how to fight. Then I got addicted to playing the demo until the final game had been released. Nonetheless, this is my review of playing UFC on PS4.
When first starting the game, you are given a very informative tutorial that tells you the basics on how to play the game. Then you play a full match that shows just how beautiful the game really is. Such as with the introductions, where you see the fighters on their way to the cage and feel the intimidation from the graphics and the voice of the announcer. The game is just so realistic; I mean, throughout the match you can see realistic bruises, cuts, and blood that form from normal wear and tear of matches. The feeling of satisfaction that you get from defeating an opponent with a submission is totally awesome since you actually feel that you did it. The game has beautiful graphics that will make people second guess that you are actually playing a video game.

Nonetheless, the gameplay in this game is what really makes it fun to play. You can be beating on an opponent at one point and then trying to just stay up the next. Or you can be fighting perfectly while standing up and still lose because your opponent performs a perfectly executed submission. Although, with all the advanced moves it might not be the most realistic. However, it makes it more fast-paced and fun to play. The only problem with the game is that sometimes people can just press buttons and still win, no matter the fact that you are better at the game.
Now, as far as game modes are concerned; UFC has a fair amount of options that will keep you busy. Such as with career mode, where you create a fighter and go through the Ultimate Fighter to become an official UFC fighter. You start off with awful attributes, but thats part of the challenge of career mode that once you get over; is a very addicting game mode.

Another game mode that was very entertaining was the challenges game mode. It's mostly a game mode that is meant to teach you all the controls for UFC, but it can also be used to just practice or try to gain higher scores. This game mode is great for newer players of fighting games, and it is quite fulfilling when you finish all the challenges.
Then there is multiplayer, which is one of the funnest parts of the game. Going online to fight someone is challenging and very fun if you can get a good connection. And playing against someone in your own house is a very fun experience, since anyone can win. In online, you can even search for a game by weight class; so you could even fight specifically with your created fighter if you want.
Overall, UFC is a fun game that has gotten me interested in the sport of UFC and should be checked out. I have finally found a fighting game that is challenging, addicting, and accessible enough to learn the controls.
