NBA 2014 Free Agency Predictions

LeBron James SF/PF 6'9: Cleveland Cavaliers
LeBron is the type of player that will instantly make a team, contenders for the NBA Championship; but he still wants players around him that can help him achieve this goal. And as of right now, the Heat have not done enough to reassure him that he will have help to bring the team to the Finals. They have signed Josh McRoberts and an aging Danny Granger; and those are not the type of players that can keep LeBron from leaving.
Meanwhile, Cleveland already has assets of Kyrie Irving, Dion Waiters, Tristan Thompson, and rookie Andrew Wiggins. They have enough money for a max contract, LeBron grew up in Akron, and the Cavaliers also talked to most of LeBron's old teammates to come join them. It is also possible that they would trade Wiggins for Kevin Love also; so the Cavaliers could possibly have Irving, LeBron, and Love which would create a new Big 3.
In my opinion, if LeBron wants to chase after another ring he should go back Cleveland because they have better assets that can help achieve this.

Chris Bosh PF/C 6'11: Houston Rockets
Chris Bosh has been waiting for LeBron to make his decision. However, Bosh needs to do what is best for him and just do his own thing. Bosh should go to the Houston Rockets because he fits their team perfectly, he already has 2 rings, is from Texas, and he would still be playing for a contender team. He would be part of a Big 3 of him, Harden, and Howard; and he could make people know that he can make his own decisions.

Dwayne Wade SG 6'4: Miami Heat
Wade has always been the face of the Miami Heat and Wade strikes me as the type of player that will stay with a team until they retire.

Lance Stephenson SG/SF 6'5: Dallas Mavericks
Stephenson gets on players' nerves on the defensive end, and makes people look foolish on the offensive side of ball. Although he might not be efficient, he brings energy to the lineup. He's kind of a head case, so teams have been scared away; but I believe that a team with plenty of veterans like the Dallas Mavericks will to take a chance on him. He could play the SF position with Monta Ellis and Raymond Felton on the floor, and would bring defensive abilities/toughness to a back court that needs it.

Carmelo Anthony SF/PF 6'8: New York Knicks
Melo has been the face of the New York Knicks for years. After all the bad that we have heard about the Knicks over the years. Melo has a family that loves New York, and now he has Phil Jackson that has a tendency to build contending teams. Plus, they have the most money to offer him; so the Syracuse alumni should stay in New York.

Pau Gasol PF/C 7'0: New York Knicks
Gasol is in the declining state of his career and has already won numerous championships with Phil Jackson commanding the team. So why wouldn't he go to a team that has Phil Jackson still running things and a coach that was his former teammate. The Knicks need another big man and he is a multitalented big man that will help familiarize other players to the triangle offense.

Gordon Hayward SF 6'8: Utah Jazz
Hayward has signed an offer sheet with the Charlotte Hornets, but the Utah Jazz were already prepared to match a max offer. So in my opinion he will most likely stay with Utah unless he receives an outrageous offer that is just too much for the Jazz to match.

Isaiah Thomas PG 5'9: LA Lakers
The Sacramento Kings have already signed Darren Collison to be their starting point guard, so most likely they will not resign Isaiah Thomas to be a backup for the type of money that he is asking for. Nonetheless, Isaiah Thomas has been a Lakers fan his whole life and the Lakers have a need at point guard since Steve Nash is getting old. Its the perfect situation for him, since the the Lakers want talent.

Eric Bledsoe PG/SG 6'1: Phoenix Suns
Bledsoe and Dragic help form the best two-point guard system that teams could dream about. They were efficient and seemed to have fun in that type of offense. Their abilities as scorers was maximized by having each other on the court, which helped the Suns become a surprisingly scary team to play against. Plus, the Suns have the ability to pay for a max contract for his services.

Luol Deng SF 6'8: Atlanta Hawks
I feel kind of bad for Deng. He went from being on a contending team with the Bulls, to the Cleveland Cavaliers; had durability issues and had his production drop off. The worst year that you could have before free agency.
However, I think in the right place he can get back to being the skilled player that we know he can be. With the Hawks showing immense interest in Deng, I expect them to capitalize on that opportunity while his stock is still not as high.

Chandler Parsons SF 6'9: Charlotte Hornets
If Bosh signs with the Rockets, then I don't see them having enough money to be able to match offer sheets for Parsons. He is probably going to be snatched up by team looking for a player that can do it all and shoot. The Hornets want this exact kind of player that can come to help Kemba Walker and Al Jefferson with the scoring load or help Michael Kidd-Gilchrist with defending the perimeter.

Ray Allen SG 6'5: Cleveland Cavaliers
Ray Allen is at the end of his career and just wants to win championships. So in my opinion, he will follow wherever LeBron decides to go.

Greg Monroe PF/C 6'11: LA Lakers
The Detroit Pistons tried pairing Greg Monroe and Andre Drummond with Josh Smith; but the experiment didn't work out that well. Add in the fact that Monroe might be unhappy with the Pistons' decision in signing Josh Smith and you might very well conclude that Monroe might leave.
Nonetheless, the perfect team that would love his skill set would be the Lakers. With Greg Monroe at the center and Randle at the power forward, they would be a formidable force to rebound against. Monroe has underrated talent, and in my opinion would help the Lakers with infusing talent into a roster that needed it last year.
